SAP Commerce
SAP Commerce, built to be upgraded.
Implementation, upgrades and integrations for enterprise B2B and B2C storefronts, from engineers who know the platform well.
Overview
What SAP Commerce is
SAP Commerce is an enterprise commerce platform for companies with complicated products, prices and customers. It runs the catalog, pricing, promotions, carts, checkout and orders, and it exposes all of that through APIs so every channel uses the same rules.
Its strength is flexibility. One codebase can serve several brands, countries and currencies, and it handles B2B needs such as account hierarchies, quotes, approvals and bulk ordering.
That flexibility is also the risk. Heavy customization makes upgrades slow and expensive, so how a project is built matters as much as what it builds. We build with the next upgrade in mind.
Benefits
Why teams choose SAP Commerce
It earns its place where the business rules are hard.
One platform for B2B and B2C
Serve business buyers and consumers from the same catalog and checkout, with rules for each.
Control over catalog and pricing
Model large product ranges, contract prices, tiers and promotions without workarounds.
Built for many brands and countries
Share one codebase across sites, languages, currencies and tax regimes.
Open APIs for any channel
Feed web, mobile, kiosks and partner systems from the same commerce logic.
Fits the SAP landscape
Connect to SAP ERP and the rest of the SAP stack using well-known patterns.
A managed cloud option
SAP Commerce Cloud takes care of the hosting platform, so teams spend their time on the experience.
Services
What we do
Pick one, or hand us the whole program.
Implementation
Storefront, catalog, checkout and back office, from the first workshop to launch, with automated tests and a release pipeline from day one.
Version upgrades
We read the code first, remove custom code the platform now covers and plan the cutover so the next upgrade is easier than this one.
System integrations
ERP, order management, PIM, payments, tax and shipping, built on clear contracts so a change on one side does not break the other.
Headless and composable
APIs and a composable storefront for teams that want a custom front end on top of SAP Commerce.
Search and performance
Indexing, caching, slow queries and load testing, so the site holds up on its busiest day.
Rescue and support
A fresh set of eyes on a troubled build: code review, backlog triage, release hardening and steady support afterward.
Approach
How an engagement runs
Four stages, each with something you can inspect.
- 1
Assess
We read the code and the integrations, list the customizations and agree what finished looks like.
- 2
Design
Architecture, data model, integration contracts and an upgrade path, written down before building starts.
- 3
Build
Short iterations with working demos, automated tests and a pipeline that deploys every change the same way.
- 4
Run
Launch, monitoring, runbooks and a handover your team can own, with SRE practices from the start.
Questions
Common questions about SAP Commerce
Is SAP Commerce the same as Hybris?
Yes. Hybris was the original name. SAP acquired it and now sells it as SAP Commerce Cloud. Many teams still say Hybris.
How long does an upgrade take?
It depends mostly on how much custom code and how many integrations you have. We assess the codebase first and give an estimate from what we find, not a guess.
Can you work with our team and other partners?
Yes. We can lead, join an existing team or review work done by others. We document as we go so nothing depends on us.
Do you build headless storefronts?
Yes. We build on the commerce APIs with a composable storefront or a custom front end, whichever suits your team.
Our implementation is struggling. Can you help?
That is a common starting point. We review the code, the backlog and the release process, then agree a short plan to stabilize before adding features.
